My absolute favourite shoemaker is Emma Hope. She buys vintage bags, shoes and gloves at jumble sales and flea markets and uses them to rework and revive the old techniques of how they were originally made.

Her shoes are beautifully made by specialist craftsmen in small, family-owned factories in Tuscany, Italy in the softest nappa, richest suede's, silk velvet, embroidered brocade and grosgrain. They are all gorgeous and truly unique: just look at her famous sneakers!

She is also one of the very few brands to make low heel shoes, which in my view are the most elegant!
